Use your Shopify product export, or create a UTF-8, comma-separated CSV using the columns below. Extra columns are ignored. This simplified format is for Parcel image exports.

ColumnNeeded?What goes here
Handle / URL handleRequiredProduct identifier. Repeat it for each image of that product.
Image Src / Product image URLRequired*Public HTTPS image URL on cdn.shopify.com.
TitleOptionalProduct name. Blank image rows reuse the product title.
Variant SKU / SKUOptionalUsed for filenames. Missing SKUs fall back to the handle.
Image Position / Image positionOptionalImage order: 1, 2, 3…
Image Alt Text / Image alt textOptionalImage description copied into your manifest.
Variant Image / Variant image URLAlternative*Can supply image URLs instead of, or alongside, product images.
One image per row

Keep the handle on every row. Title and SKU can appear only on the first row. Put text containing commas inside quotes; spreadsheet apps do this automatically.

Try the sample first

Three products from Fernhollow, a made-up brand with its own photos, in Parcel’s CSV format, using public image links on Shopify’s CDN. It is small enough to export free, so you can see the whole process before using your own file. Image URLs may change.

* At least one product-image or variant-image column is required. Do not upload this simplified sample into Shopify to modify your catalog. Shopify’s official CSV guide ↗
