Step by step

How to export from WooCommerce

01

In WordPress, open Products → All Products → Export. Leave every column selected and click Generate CSV.

02

Upload the CSV here and confirm your store’s address. Parcel downloads images only from that website.

03

Download a ZIP with a folder for each product, variation images included, and an image details spreadsheet.

Column names are in the CSV guide.

What you get

Good to know

Your store’s address

WooCommerce keeps product images on your own website. After you upload, Parcel suggests your store’s address from the file; check it, and Parcel downloads images only from that website.

Variations

A variation’s image goes into its product’s folder, and the product is counted once.

Images on other websites

If a plugin serves your images from another address, such as a CDN, those links are listed and skipped.

ParcelBot

Parcel downloads from your website as ParcelBot, two images at a time, and stops if the website refuses. If a security plugin or firewall blocks it, Parcel tests a few images before you pay, so you find out first. About ParcelBot

Drafts and private products

WooCommerce exports them too, so their images are included. Delete those rows from the CSV first if you don’t want them.

Alt text

WooCommerce’s export has no alt text, so that column of the image details spreadsheet stays empty.

A few things you might be wondering.

Do I need to install a plugin?

No. Use WooCommerce’s own export, then upload the CSV here. Parcel never asks for your WordPress login.

Are variation images included?

Yes. Each variation’s image is saved in its product’s folder, and with the SKU option it is named after the variation’s SKU.

How are products counted?

Each product with at least one image counts once. Variations count with their product, so a T-shirt in six sizes is one product.

What will my website see?

Requests from Parcel’s servers that name themselves ParcelBot, for the image links in your file only, two at a time. Nothing else on your site is visited.

Are images resized?

No. You get the full-size files as your website serves them.

Parcel is an independent tool, not affiliated with WooCommerce.
