Step by step
How to export from Squarespace
Upload the CSV here. Choose SKU or URL slug filenames, and a folder for each product.
Download a ZIP with your images and an image details spreadsheet. Failed downloads get their own report.
Column names and a sample file are in the CSV guide.
What you get
- One ZIP file, with a folder for each product or everything in one folder.
- Filenames by SKU, product url slug or the original filename.
- An image details spreadsheet (manifest.csv), if you want one.
- A failed-downloads.csv report listing any image that could not be downloaded.
Good to know
Photos the export leaves out
Squarespace’s export lists each product’s gallery photos. A separate featured image, or a photo set on a single variant, is left out unless it is also in the gallery, so Parcel can’t include it. Check those products before you rely on the ZIP as a backup.
Alt text
Squarespace’s export has no alt text, so that column of the image details spreadsheet stays empty.
Download products
Squarespace doesn’t export download (digital) products, so their images aren’t in the file and Parcel can’t include them.
Try the sample first
A small Squarespace file for Fernhollow, a made-up brand. It is free to export, so you can see the whole process before using your own file.

A few things you might be wondering.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Use Squarespace’s own export, then upload the CSV here. Parcel never asks for your Squarespace login.
Are variant images included?
Only when they are also among the product’s photos. Squarespace’s export lists the product’s photos, not photos set on a single variant, so those must be saved from Squarespace separately.
How are products counted?
Each product with at least one image counts once. Variant rows count with their product.
Are images resized?
No. Parcel doesn’t resize images, and photos you uploaded as JPEG, PNG or GIF come back in that format, not as WebP copies. Squarespace’s image service re-saves JPEG photos, so a file can be smaller than the one you uploaded, at the same pixel size.
Parcel is an independent tool, not affiliated with Squarespace.
