How to download all your Wix product images
Wix has no button that downloads your product photos. Its product export lists every photo, but as a Wix media ID rather than a link. Here is how to turn those IDs into downloads for free, and a faster way.
Before you start
- You can open Catalog → Store Products → Products in your site’s dashboard.
- You choose All when exporting, so every product is in the file. Wix exports up to 5,000 rows per file, and every variant and photo takes a row: for a large catalog, export a category or selected products at a time.
- Your products are physical products. Wix doesn’t export digital products, so their photos won’t be in the file.
- Your products and photos are still on the site. Export before deleting products or closing the store.
- Wix dashboardStore Products → More Actions → Export → All
- catalog_products.csvOne
MEDIArow per photo, with a media ID - ParcelTurns each ID into a link and downloads the original
- One ZIPA folder per product and a spreadsheet of every image
Where the photos are in the export
- Export: in your site’s dashboard, open Catalog → Store Products → Products, click More Actions → Export, choose All and click Export. Wix downloads
catalog_products.csv. - Rows: each product has a
PRODUCTrow, aVARIANTrow for each variant, and aMEDIArow for each photo. Thehandlecolumn ties them together. - Photos: the
mediacolumn of aMEDIArow holds an ID such as41f28c_62eda5…~mv2.jpg. The photo itself is athttps://static.wixstatic.com/media/followed by that ID, exactly as exported. - Left out: Wix doesn’t export digital products. Product videos also appear as
MEDIArows; they aren’t photos.
| handle1 | fieldType2 | name | media3 | mediaAltText | sku |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Product_8c1e… | PRODUCT | Trail Mug | MUG-01 | ||
| Product_8c1e… | MEDIA | 41f28c_62eda5…~mv2.jpg | Green mug on a desk | ||
| Product_8c1e… | MEDIA | 41f28c_9b07c1…~mv2.jpg |
Columns without a note are left out here; your file has them too.
- handle is a code Wix makes for each product. It ties the product’s rows together; it isn’t a readable name.
- fieldType says what a row is. Every
MEDIArow is one photo (or a video). - media holds the photo’s ID, not a link. The original file is at
https://static.wixstatic.com/media/plus the ID, including the~mv2part.
The free manual method
- Export your products as above and open the CSV in a spreadsheet.
- Filter the
fieldTypecolumn toMEDIAand copy themediacolumn. - Put
https://static.wixstatic.com/media/in front of each ID, keeping the~mv2part, then paste the links into a bulk-download browser extension or a download script. - Sort the files into a folder per product and rename them. The files are named after the IDs, so look up each one’s
handleand the product name on itsPRODUCTrow.
This is fine for a few products. For a large catalog the matching and renaming take a long time, and a failed download is easy to miss.

A folder per product named after the product, files named by SKU (or product name) in Wix’s order, and a spreadsheet of every photo.
The faster way: Parcel
Upload the same Wix CSV to Parcel and get one ZIP file:
- One folder per product, so a product’s photos stay together
- Files named by SKU or by the product name
- The original photo files, with product videos left out
- An image details spreadsheet listing every image with its link, product and alt text
- A failed-downloads report listing any image that could not be fetched
Parcel never asks for your Wix login and nothing is installed on your site.
What it costs
Up to 25 products is free; larger catalogs are a one-time $9, $19, or $39 depending on size. No subscription.
- 10,000images per export
- 20 MBlargest single image
- 300 MBof images, free export
- 1 GBof images, paid export
Files stay available for 24 hours after the export is ready.
If something goes wrong
- Parcel says “Choose a .csv file exported from Wix Store Products”
- The file isn’t Wix’s product export. Export again from Catalog → Store Products → Products → More Actions → Export and upload
catalog_products.csvwithout editing it. - Some products are missing from the export
- Wix exports up to 5,000 rows per CSV file, and each product, variant and photo is a row. Export one category, or selected products, at a time and upload each file to Parcel as its own export.
- Parcel says some images were skipped
- Parcel downloads Wix product photos from
static.wixstatic.com. Amediavalue that isn’t a Wix media ID or link is counted as skipped on screen rather than guessed at; save those photos by hand. - A product has no folder
- First look in
failed-downloads.csv: if every download for it failed, the report gives the reason. Otherwise it has noMEDIArows in the file, only a video, or only photos Parcel skipped as unsupported (those are counted on screen before you export). Digital products aren’t in Wix’s export at all. - Files are named by product name instead of SKU
- Parcel uses the product’s SKU, or its first variant’s. When neither has one, it uses the product name. Add SKUs in Wix and export again if you need SKU names.
- An image is listed in failed-downloads.csv
- Its link didn’t return an image, for example because the photo was removed from the site after the export. Open the
original_urlfrom the report in a browser to check, and export a fresh CSV if needed.
Questions
Can I download all my Wix product images at once?
Not from the Wix dashboard. The product export lists every photo as a Wix media ID, and each ID can be downloaded from static.wixstatic.com/media/ followed by the ID. Parcel downloads them all and sorts them for you.
Do I get the full-size photos?
Yes. A media ID link serves the original file that was uploaded, and Parcel saves it as it is, without resizing or compressing it.
Are product videos included?
No. Videos also appear as MEDIA rows in the export, but Parcel leaves them out because they aren’t photos.
How are the folders named?
After the product name, made safe for file names: “Café Ceramic Bowl” becomes cafe-ceramic-bowl. Two products with the same name get -2, -3 and so on.
Does Parcel need my Wix login?
No. You export the CSV from your dashboard and upload it. Nothing is installed on your site.
Parcel is an independent tool, not affiliated with Wix.
